When I launched this site a few years ago (I've forgotten how many)
I had just been published for the first time, with short stories
appearing in what was then Satinslippers.com, at Clean Sheets and
in the galleries of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association
(ERWA).
If I remember correctly, I was working on my first novel, Aphrodite
Overboard, which was subsequently published by Velluminous
Press and which has continued to sell steadily since that time.
Aphrodite is, as it should be, a sweet book, deriving from my
genuine love of humankind (though most especially in its female
form because, frankly, far too many men are just too tedious), my
love of beauty and of love itself and informed by the sense of
humour which has kept me going, in the end, above all else.
As soon as she was published, Aphrodite was attacked by a snide
and gutless relict of a previous association gone bad, displaying all
the vaunted courage that is an anonymous critique. Somewhat
hurtfully, too, Aphrodite went very much unsupported by those
who had previously promised to support her on the basis of the
manuscript but seemed to find it too much effort when they'd
actually got hold of a copy of the book.
She deserved better, as you may discover if you take a look at the
first chapter or so which I'm going to make accessible here.
Anyhow, vraimenterotique. com remains a gentle site for gentle
readers who enjoy warm fantasies. The written material is often
explicit, but kindly so, because vraimenterotique is about love and
sex combined. Above all, vraimenterotique is dedicated to the
miracle that is woman and contains nothing that was not created
with love.
In real life R V Raiment advocates responsible sex within caring
relationships, even if not always conventional ones. If protection is
not always referred to in his stories, it is because what is contained
here is fiction and fantasy, not a prescription for the way people
should necessarily conduct their sex lives.
You will find no gratuitous violence here and little in the way of
bonds, whips and chains. If The Story of O is your favourite read,
believe me, you have almost certainly come to the wrong place.
